Orders are only secured once your deposit is received and an order confirmation has been sent by me, you are then in a legally binding contract.
Reserve the date retainers are required to secure your date and are non-refundable as I may have turned other work away to accommodate your commission.
A deposit is required for all cake orders and dependent upon work carried out may not be refundable (see * below)
Wedding cakes – Full payment is due 1 month prior to your wedding.
Stand/Equipment Security payment is only refundable upon return of clean, undamaged equipment within the timescale agreed. I will liaise with your venue for the stand to be handed to someone in the bridal part for return. It is your responsibility to ensure someone in your party returns it back to me.
Any drawings, quotations or descriptions I issue and any pictures on my website are issued solely to provide you with an idea of the cakes they describe and remain the property of Sarah’s Sugarcraft and should not be copied or given to a third party without prior consent
Quotations are valid for 30 days from date of issue.
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure all details on the order confirmation are correct.
My Cakes are fresh produce that don’t contain additives or preservatives and should therefore be consumed on the day requested. Cakes should be stored in their boxes provided and kept away from direct sunlight and heat sources. They should not be refrigerated.
Fresh flowers – If you decide to use fresh flowers on your cake it is your and your florist’s responsibility to ensure every care is taken regarding contamination and toxicity. I cannot be held liable from any misuse.
I prefer to deliver and set up all wedding cakes and will liaise with your venue and inform them of any items that need to be removed before eating. Once set up I will photograph the cake before leaving and where possible obtain a signature confirming it has been received in good condition. Should the venue need to set the cake up themselves I will leave instructions but cannot be held responsible if these are not followed correctly.
Alterations to orders.
Any alterations must be confirmed in writing and may be subject to additional charges. Late amendments are often possible and every effort will be made to accommodate those changes but this cannot be guaranteed.
